We have noticed a number of clinics are not bringing in as much revenue as they did this time last year. Our industry health tracker has shown a consistent downward trend in number of invoices and number of patients over the past few months. There are two things you can do to counter this trend:
1. Re-activate clients that have not visited you in more than 12 months (easier than getting new clients) Many of you know that Profitdiagnostix now offers a client reactivation package, so make sure to contact them if you need this at support@profitdiagnostix.com 2. Train reception to engage better with clients on the telephone and book them in for a visit. Alison Lambert has recently done a masterclass with us on this subject.
We have run masterclasses on the above and if you didn’t view them then you still have time to do this: https://aplaccountants.info/course/latest-web-masterclasses When you click this link you will be requested to enroll and donate $5 which goes towards creating impacts globally for a better world. This will give you access to the recordings for 14 days.
For our advisory clients – simply login to APL Learning Centre for free access at aplaccountants.info . Here you will have access to the latest web events and a whole lot more resources.
Tax Instalments may need varying
In light of what we are seeing with decreased revenue, some of you may find that the tax instalments on your BAS are too high. The ATO determines your tax instalment based on your most recently lodged tax return. If you are dropping in revenue and profit then this may be too high for 2024. If we do your bookkeeping then we will be checking this every quarter for you and will vary it if we see that this needs to be done. If you complete your own BAS then make sure to check with your accountant if you think this may be a problem for you. Reducing your tax instalments if business is slowing down helps your cashflow.
