Dog Tales!
Navigating a Hoopers course, every twist and hoop feels like a new adventure -challenging at first, but surprisingly enjoyable with good direction.
You think I’m the only one jumping through hoops? You do it all day. Your hoops are just invisible. Here are a few lessons from my Hoopers class that might help with yours.
That first hoop is always the scariest. You need to face it – the one called “Payroll Week” or “Buying New Equipment.” You learn the only way is through. But it’s never just one hoop, is it? It’s a whole course. You clear the Staffing hoop, pivot to the Inventory hoop, then sprint through an Emergency.
The most important lesson is that I never run alone. I’d be lost on the course without my mom guiding me. She points, she encourages, she corrects. You need a handler, too. Your Practice Manager, your senior staff, your mentors – they are the ones keeping you on course.
So, when you feel you’re facing endless hoops, remember us dogs on the course. Every obstacle you clear makes you faster, smarter, and stronger for the next. The run is tough, but a happy team and healthy patients are worth it every time.
