New bookkeeper, important web masterclass on financial payments
Bookkeeping team grows for the new year
Our bookkeeping unit continues to grow, so we welcome Amanda an experienced bookkeeper to the team. Amanda lives in a farming community so is very comfortable with the array of animals you are treating and is well versed in the demands of being a veterinarian.
For those of you still juggling your own bookkeeping with running the business or those of you with a messy set of books that have been prepared by one of your team members, Amanda is happy to help you. She even mentioned some ‘rescue jobs’ in her application – so she’s used to rescuing clients and their books so don’t be embarrassed by what may need doing!

What every business owner needs to know about upcoming payments
Do you know what your balance sheet actually means? Do you know how much superannuation or GST you’ll need to pay? Do you know how much money you’ve taken out the business that you need to repay? Do you find yourself worrying about your next BAS payment?
Join us on Wednesday 19 January at midday Qld time when we will explain all this and how to use your accounting reports more effectively to resolve the problems of some of your ‘surprise payments’. This web masterclass is for all veterinary business owners that don’t have an accounting degree.
For every registrant we will be planting a fruit tree to help Kenyans generate income
Dog Tales!
So many new things happening, how could we possibly compete on the dog front. Well we have a new year ahead and new opportunities – at the end of last year we were invited to do a dog dancing demonstration at an aged care home!
The audience loved us so much, had such a good time and we were so well behaved that we have been invited to a couple more aged care homes in the new year. We seriously could not believe how happy and engaged the residents of the home were and how many smiles we created.
Why is this important to you and your team? Well without a great veterinary team we wouldn’t have the health and fitness to entertain the wider community, so your services are welcomed not just by us awesome pets but the wider community that we serve!
Wishing you and your team an awesome new year and don’t forget you have a very big purpose that spreads into the wider community because pets make people happy!
