End of year payroll

Yes we are already at the end of another financial year! Didn’t that one go really fast? Remember that if you use single touch payroll then you don’t need to do a payroll summary for each employee – they need to login to their MyGov account and access their pay details there. All that you need to do is make a finalisation declaration in your payroll software up to 14 July (don’t be late!). Important change to your Profitdiagnostix Wage Reports

We have updated wages reporting in Profitdiagnostix. This category will now INCLUDE superannuation based on popular request. This means that you get a true reflection of what you spend on staffing, but also means that it will jump to 10% higher than what you are used to seeing! This brings the ‘average’ wages to 44% as a percentage of revenue.

Annual Workshop

If you haven’t already booked in for our annual workshop please make sure that you do by replying to this email. Remember there are two sessions:

1. 25 August 4-7:30pm Qld time

2. Choose between 26 August and 15 September 9:30-11:30am, unless you are a Top Dog and then you should be attending our session in October.

New TFN Robocall scam

You had better get a watchdog to watch that phone of yours! Watch out for an automated phone call pretending to be the ATO (as well as some other government services). They claim your TFN is suspended and there’s a legal case against you, then you are asked to press 1 or risk being arrested. They will then ask for some personal information. 

If you are ever unsure about an ATO call rather hang up and ask us. The ATO has assured us that they would never threaten to lock you up via phone call – nice to know!
