APL Accounting News May 2017

May we hit the road

We are nearly half way through the year so it’s time to announce our Annual Client Days (road trip!) We have 3 dates available this year.

Brisbane – Saturday 2 September 2017

Melbourne – Friday 13 October 2017 (probably don’t attend this one if you are superstitious, own a black cat, or like to avoid cracks in the footpath)

Sydney – Sunday 29 October 2017

We are excited to be presenting some new information with a slightly different format this year and look forward to seeing everyone again. Paolo may even have some new jokes.

Bookings are essential and days tend to fill up quite quickly so please contact admin@aplaccountants.com.au to ensure you are booked in.

May we talk about spam emails

It has come to our attention recently that there are spam emails (containing malware) allegedly coming from the “ASIC”.  Yes, the ASIC does email you now for business name renewals.  However, these are legitimate emails and contain their logo that will appear blue and white.

The spam version that we have seen is just black typing advising the business name renewal is due, but it has a fluro green writing at the bottom advising to consider the environment before printing, and has no ASIC blue and white logo. If you click any of the links attached it will install malware on your computer.

If you are in doubt, please let us know and we can advise if the email is from ASIC or somewhere else.

May we remind you that it’s tax planning time

It’s time to plan your end of financial year strategy and maximise your tax savings where possible.  It is vital that we receive your information on time so that we can organise the best financial solution for you before end of year.

If this isn’t a service that you currently subscribe to but would like to know more about please give one of our accountants a call or drop us an email at admin@aplaccountants.com.au and we can discuss the tax planning package.

Dog tails

May we talk about sausage

Sausage jokes are the absolute wurst, but I feel like throwing a joke to two at our little brat Strudel.

What do you call a cold dog sitting on a bunny?  A chili dog on a bun.

Why did the guy hate sausages?  He just feared the wurst.

How do you make a sausage roll?  Push it down a hill.

Weiner I going to stop!?  Devon even think about it!

Oh well, I thought it was punny.  You kebana please everyone.

Chipolata,

Zack.
